Account Information. When you sign up or log in, we collect:

• Your name and email address (Google Sign-In or Email/Password)
• Your phone number, if you sign in or link your account using Phone + OTP verification
• A profile photo, if provided by Google Sign-In

Usage Information. We collect information about how you use the Service, including:

• Quiz and mock test attempts, scores, and answer history
• Study progress, saved topics, and bookmarked content
• App interaction data (pages visited, features used, session length) via Firebase Analytics

Device Information. On the Android app, we may collect basic device information (device type, operating system version, app version) and a push notification token, used to deliver exam alerts and updates.

• To send exam alerts, current affairs updates, and important notifications

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes. CareerSopan does not currently display any third-party ads.

CareerSopan is built on Google Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf, under their own privacy and security standards:

• Firebase Authentication — manages Google Sign-In, Email/Password, and Phone+OTP login
• Cloud Firestore — stores your account data, quiz results, and progress
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — delivers push notifications
• Firebase Analytics — helps us understand app usage patterns
• Cloudflare Pages — hosts our website (careersopan.com)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share information in these limited circumstances:

• With service providers listed above (Firebase/Google, Cloudflare), strictly to operate the Service
• If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of CareerSopan, our users, or the public
• In connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), with notice to you

We use industry-standard security measures, including Firebase's built-in authentication and access-control rules, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.

• You can edit your name, email, and linked phone number from your Profile Settings
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below
• You can stop using the Service at any time

CareerSopan is designed for aspirants preparing for government competitive exams and is generally intended for users aged 13 and above. If you are under 18, please use the Service under the guidance of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies (through Firebase Analytics) to remember your preferences and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect some features of the Service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
